History
After over 20 years of working for companies throughout Scotland on a wide range of forestry equipment from ploughing tractors to bulldozers,diggers and graders Davey Shanks decided to set up his own business in 1988. Concentrating on forestry ploughing and road making at first he soon took the decision to purchase an excavator and move into mounding and has never looked back.
Following Dave Jnr's decision to leave forestry college he returned home and joined the family business full time in 1999, expanding both the capabilities and resources available to the company.
With the winning of several tenders in 2012 the decision was made to expand again, taking on Chris Ebner and training him up to industry standard.
This enabled us to make the decision to purchase more equipment and also led to the changing of the company from sole trader to limited company. Along with our our joining of the Forestry Industry Safety Accord this emphasises our commitment to the industry, to a level of professionalism and to providing quality contracts delivered on time.
